Our story
Where it began.
Boon goes back to Harar, one of the first cities in the world to trade coffee. Harari families have grown it in the hills around the city for centuries, and Orit's grandparents were among them. In their house, coffee was part of every day.
Orit brought that with her. She started Boon because she wanted other people to drink coffee this good. Today that means the hotels and cafés we supply, the people who order from us, and anyone who sits down in one of our cafés.
Our Ethiopian coffees come from Harar, Yirgacheffe, Sidamo and Guji, and we've added a handful of origins from further afield. Our team (every one of them as obsessed with coffee as we are) roasts it all fresh here in the UAE on state-of-the-art equipment. That way the coffee in your cup tastes the way we wanted it to when we chose the beans.
